Deeper Ship Customization

So, we already have some ship customization ideas (I think) and I would like if we could go more in depth with adding some more stuff to the lsit like we can switch the cannons, rudder, sails, wheel, and everything and they can give boosts and such.

Just remember to stick to the topic of 'Deeper Ship Customization'. Something tells me that the forums idea should be a seperate forum/blog/page.

Agree - Seems a little weird, that ideas are being placed in this catagory/group of the wiki forum.

I like the idea, but are we going to make Advanced Customization an option? In other words, these parts would have a 'standard' value that would be used unless the person opts for Advanced Customization or will it be something that has to be earned OR even PAID for as an extra feature?

Remember the more we overthink the plumbing, the easier it will be for issues to crop up. If we go this route, then we need to settle on what parts and standardize those.

  • Cannons (Type, Placement, Size (from swivel mount rail guns up to cannonades))
  • Rudder (Type, Material)
  • Sails (Material, Shape, Size)
  • Rigging
  • Helm Wheel
  • Hull Type
  • Hull Material (Various woods and metals)
  • Cargo Area
  • Crew Compliment (Maximum or maybe even a minimum)
